Misogyny Assembly delivered by P.C. Scott

The school was pleased to welcome PC Scott recently to speak with our pupils about Misogyny.  

The session provided an important opportunity for pupils to explore what misogyny means, how harmful attitudes and behaviours can develop, and the impact that sexist language, stereotypes and disrespect can have on girls and women.  Our pupils listened and engaged extremely well throughout the assembly, which was great to see.

PC Scott encouraged our pupils to think carefully about their own behaviour, the language they use and how they treat others. Pupils were reminded of the importance of respect, kindness, equality and personal responsibility, both in school and in the wider community.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of speaking up when behaviour or language is inappropriate and understanding that everyone has a role to play in creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.

We would like to thank Community Police Officer PC Scott for taking the time to speak with our pupils and for helping us continue these important conversations about respect, relationships, and positive choices. 

This will remain an ongoing focus for our pupils and staff to help ensure all pupils continue to grow and develop properly.
