Drama

In Primary School Drama, we aim to dispel the misconception that Drama is exclusively for future actors. We believe that Drama is an essential element in nurturing well-rounded individuals, offering valuable opportunities for personal growth within a safe community. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support pupils in developing their skills in creating, performing, and responding, with a core focus on fostering individual and social growth. Our Primary Drama Curriculum equips students with a broad understanding of essential, transferable life skills that extend beyond the classroom, enhancing their personal and social awareness.

We recognise that every child has the right to express themselves and a deep-seated need for play. Drama provides a safe and encouraging environment that maximises these natural qualities. Our primary goal is to empower students to unleash their creativity and communicate effectively with others, a skill of immeasurable value. Drama also plays a pivotal role in improving peer relationships and boosting pupils' confidence.

Like other art forms, Drama engages the realms of imagination and emotion, helping individuals make sense of the world around them. Through different topics, we explore personal and educational growth while instilling a lifelong love for Drama.

At Muntham House School, we view Drama as a powerful tool for personal growth, cultural exploration, and skill development, and we are dedicated to integrating it effectively into our curriculum. By doing so, we aim to equip our pupils with the tools necessary to take on anything challenges our pupils face, both now and in the future.
