The boys and staff members of Muntham had a pyjama day on Thursday 24th January. People of our community wore their pyjamas, onesies and dressing gowns in order to raise awareness and money for the homeless people of the UK. The day raised over £70 for 'Turning Tides', a local homeless charity that has just had all its government funding cut to zero. The charity has hostels in Horsham, Worthing and Littlehampton. This money will go towards sponsoring Mrs Price who is doing a 'sleep out' for the organisation. This was following an assembly where the students heard personal accounts from people sleeping rough on the streets and were made aware of the shocking figures of the number of people sleeping rough in the South East, as well as other areas of the UK. The students showed tremendous generosity and empathy and made the staff members very proud, as well as it being a fun day for all.
