Finance Committee


Terms of Reference for the Finance Committee


The committee will:


  • Monitor the fiscal situation at MHS
  • Agree the annual setting of school budget and submission to Board of Governors
  • Ensure that all requests for funding comply with the agreed protocol for any alterations and refurbishments of the Learning Environment of a substantial amount
  • Ensure that all meetings are minuted and signed off by the committee chairman
  • Report regularly to full Board of Governors
  • Membership Requirements
  • Members must have a practical knowledge of accounting & practices
  • Behave as a 'critical friend'
  • Minimum of 2 governors, Head of Finance and either the Principal or Deputy Principal must be present at all times for every sub-committee meeting
