Pupils from the Extended Education Unit are participating in a week long residential trip in Aberdovey in Wales. The pupils will experience a week of Outdoor and Adventurous activities including kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling and an overnight expedition to sleep in a log cabin. This trip works in partnership with The Outward Bound Trust and the Berkeley Foundation who have already started working with our pupils aged 14-19 through the Work Readiness programme in preparation ready for work when they leave school.
Our pupils will explore and experience the outside environment and will work together to overcome challenges as part of a team in order to succeed in each task. The Outward Bound Education Trust are the leading provider of adventurous outdoor education and personal development and will be challenging our pupils throughout the week. Their mission statement is very relevant to our pupils;
