Students from KS2 up to KS4 at Muntham House School have access to the library in the form of library lessons and one to one literacy interventions.
During these lessons, the students will undertake activities related to the topic. Over the four week topic period, the expectations of each student are to achieve six activities, three of which will be ongoing throughout the year.

One to one intervention lessons are also happening in the library to boost the reading, spelling and overall writing attainment of the students at Muntham House.
One of the most effective approaches to helping young people develop literacy skills is having an environment that supports this. The library is open at lunch and break time which allows the students time and space to reflect or simply read a book.
The library plays a key role in creating a warm and calm environment, promoting literacy by offering relevant and attractive reading material for all ages and abilities.
