The activities offered for this weekend were trips to either Madame Tussauds or Marwell Zoo on the Saturday, and taking part in a Treasure Trail on the Sunday.
The weather was not on our side and the animals at the zoo decided to stay in the warm, so viewing was a little restricted but the boys who attended still made the best of the experience, and a return visit is definitely on the cards!
For some boys this was the first time they had been on a tube train, so excitement was high and they were all very excited about the trip.
Madame Tussauds was great fun and the boys enjoyed celebrity spotting and having their photos taken with lots of celebrities; even the President of the United States of America!
When in London it’s only right to jump on a bus and see the sights, so we headed towards Camden and decided to stop off and have a wander around. For some boys it was quite a culture shock and they admitted they did feel a little uneasy around this vibrant but diverse area of London, but they enjoyed wandering the market and picked up a few souvenirs before we headed back to the station.
On Sunday the boys headed off to Tilgate Park in Crawley for an organised Treasure Trail. Although a few were initially reluctant, once the concept was explained to them they soon rose to the challenge and managed to solve the clues and find the treasure. Some excellent teamwork was in action and there was some great interaction between all the boys.
